Here are a few old slide or print images of target species I obtained from my ten "pre-digital" trips to Ecuador:

Added May 2014:-
Orinoco Goose Neochen jubata: photographed from our boat on the Rio Pastaza near Kapawi Lodge, back in the days when this species was still somewhat easy to find...:

Added April 2014:-
Andean Cock-of-the-Rock Rupicola peruviana sanguinolentus: photographed on the main trail at Tandayapa Bird Lodge on November 02, 1999; I was surprised by how red this female is - perhaps an older individual?:

Added April 2014:-
Giant Antpitta Grallaria gigantea hylodroma: photographed on the upper trail of Tony Nunnery's place above Tandayapa on November 05, 1999. Not a great pic, but prized since it was obtained BEFORE this species became easy at Angel Paz's place!:

Added July 2013:-
White-tailed Shrike-Tyrant Agriornis andicola: photographed on the uppermost elevations of the road that crosses the Paramo del Angel from the town of El Angel to Tulcan, Carchi Province on January 04, 1997. At that time (and still?) this was the northernmsot record for the species by quite a distance:

Added July 2013:-
Tropical Mockingbird mimus gilvus: photographed from the tour bus as we drove east from Cosanga on September 7, 1998:

Sword-billed Hummingbird Ensifera ensifera: The first photo shows the bird feeding on the Datura sp. in the way the flower intended; the second pic shows the bird "cheating" by using a basal hole created a few moments beforehand by a Black Flowerpiercer:

Gorgeted Sunangel Heliangelus strophianus:

White-faced Nunbird Hapaloptila castanea:
