Update July 01, 2006: added a poor pic of what may have been the actual first T. abdominalis for Texas... - at the bottom.

On June 10, 2005 at the Cattail pond north of the disused entrance booth at Santa Ana NWR in southern Texas, I found this male Vermilion Saddlbags Tramea abdominalis patrolling the only cattail-free patch of water; this is the first record for Texas:
