Update: June 20, 2008: added a male from next to the Rio Grande between Bentsen RGV SP and NABA yesterday - at the bottom of the page:

This Bar-sided Darner/Mexican Darner Gynacantha mexicana was photographed near the "Chachalaca gate" on the southermost Pintail Lake Trail at Santa Ana NWR, Hidalgo County, Texas on October 11, 2004:


This female was at the Cattail pond north of the disused entrance booth at Santa Ana NWR in southern Texas on June 15, 2007:



June 19, 2008: a male from next to the Rio Grande between Bentsen RGV SP and NABA:
