This male Broad-striped Riffle Darner Oplonaeschna magna was observed feeding low over a small clearing in Pine-Oak woodland at c.7,200 feet close to Cabinas Mesa del Oso in the northern Sierra Madre Oriental, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on August 06, 2018. This record establishes a significant range extension northwards, the previous northernmost records being from Hidalgo State.
