These Sphagnum Sprites Nehalennia gracilis were some of a number seen at the Beaver Pond southwest of the southern dam at Lake Sam Rayburn, Jasper county on June 08, 2009. Originally found there by Greg Lasley on June 5, 2009, these are the first records for Texas and the only records west of Alabama (save for one in southeast Missouri):
