This presumed atypical Thornbush Dasher Micrathyria hageni was found away from the water at Bentsen State Park WBC, Hidalgo county, Texas in mid-June 2008:



Note the thoracic pattern: the anterior branch of the central "Y" touches the black of the anterior dark pattern, isolating the small and large pale triangles above and below this point of contact; also note that there is a pronounced rearwards dark fork on the posterior black thoracic line - both these elements of pattern are more-associated with M. dissocians:




There is the suggestion that the apical tips of the cerci are divergent (a feature asscociated with M. dissocians) :
