Finca Patrocinio is a really neat farm located in the foothills close to Retalhuleu; the mixture of shade coffee, various other shrub crops, and gallery forest provide a mosaic of habitats that is extremely birdy:-
This striking male White-winged Tanager was an eye-popper, feeding in the canopy of a tree that was effectively at eye-level for us:
Thanks to the sharp eyes of local birder Kenneth, we enjoyed great 'scope views of a Laughing Falcon:
