Bradley had suggested that we keep an eye out for a mixed flock that sometimes worked its way around the clearings at Cristalino Jungle Lodge; one afternoon during siesta-time I found such a flock working at quite low levels, and managed to find this Xenops; I knew that I'd need some good pics to help ID it, and luckily I managed to get photos that showed the sparse underside streaking, black on the outer web of R4/R5, and relatively slender bill that established this as a Slender-billed Xenops Xenops tenuirostris:
