This warbler was photographed at the Willows in Sea Rim State Park, Jefferson County, Texas on October 20, 2007; at first I thought it was a funky young Northern Parula, then the extent of yellow on the underparts and on the wing bars lead me to consider the possibility of a hybrid - any thoughtful suggestions as to the identity/parentage of this bird woud be appreciated:
