Here are thirteen Common Snipe (Gallinago gallinago) study skins I photographed at the British Museum of Natural History at Tring, Hertfordshire. - my thanks to them for allowing my access to the specimens. Some of these birds were collected in Europe and thus are presumed G. g. gallinago; some were collected in North America and thus are presumed to be G. g. delicata. Can you identify which are nominate gallinago and which are delicata?:-
