These Greater White-fronted Geese (Anser
albifrons) were photographed in Nueces
County, south Texas on December 01, 2007 by Martin Reid. They were part of a group of c. 15,000 Greater White-fronted Geese and c. 10,000 Snow/Ross's Geese. Note the adult bird with obvious orange bill tone and darker head/neck; I feel
this may be a Gambel's
Greater White-fronted Goose (Anser albifrons gambeli.)
