My first sighting in Texas of a "gray-morph" Chuck-will's-widow at Blucher Park in downtown Corpus Christi, in early May 2009; I wonder if the gray types are a random phenomenon or population-based, as I chatted with a number of long-time Texas birders who said this form is very rare in Texas(?):
