Just part of a Megaflock of Buff-breasted Sandpipers at a sod farm close to Calallen (west of Corpus Christi), southTexas on May 3, 2009. Almost every small dot you can see in this image is a Buff-breasted Sandpiper (there are a handful of Mourning Doves and Laughing Gulls among them) - I twice did a ten-count pass down the entire field, and came up with a figure of c. 1,150 Buff-breasted Sandpipers - a significant portion of the World population, I'd guess:
