This adult Thayer's Gull (Larus thayeri)
was photographed at the Corpus Christi Landfill on February 23,
2005; does the paleness of the upperparts and the primary pattern/tone
place this individual at the extreme end for thayeri, or
might it be a back-cross intergrade with kumlieni?:
