These three different age Thayer's Gulls
(Larus thayeri) were photographed by Martin
Reid and Willie Sekula at the Corpus Christi Landfill in same
week of 2004:
1) Full adult winter by Willie Sekula on February 28:
with limited dark on just five primaries, this must be at the
pale limit for thayeri?:
2) 4th-winter(?) found by Petra Hockey and photographed by Martin
Reid on March 04:
3) advanced 2nd winter (or 3rd winter with retarded bare parts?)
