was photographed at San Luis Obispo, California on September 25,
1997 by Greg Lasley; - note that the
shape of the tip of the dark centers to the median, lesser, and
innermost greater coverts are not the classic "U"-shape,
but are much closer to that shown by some Ring-billed Gulls:
