This (near?) adult LBBG-type was photographed in Houston, Harris County, Texas on Feb 02, 2006; note P10 is still growing and the tip has barely emerged beyond the tips of the wing coverts (thus no mirror detail visible); P9 is still growing and has no white mirror; the only sign of possible immaturity in the rest of the plumage is a few brown crescents in the outer underwing coverts (black in the bill is a regular feature of winter fully-adult LBBGs); also note that the tail tip falls under the tip of P6:
