This 2nd-Winter Lesser Black-backed Gull (Larus fuscus graellsii)
was photographed at Brownsville Dump, Texas in late November 1991
by Martin Reid. A classic bird for this age, with white-tipped
black bill, medium-pale eye, mostly adult-gray upperparts, and
pale flesh-colored legs:
