This adult-basic/alternate Siberian Gull (Larus
heuglini heuglini) was photographed in Bahrain in early
March 1999 by Martin Reid. Note the bright yellow legs, yet the
eye is a dull amber color. In many ways, it looks more like a
Baltic Gull (Larus fuscus) -
- but seen below with a barabensis gull (on the right),
it looks too large for fuscus:
