This adult-basic Siberian Gull (Larus heuglini) was photographed in Bahrain in early March 1999 by Martin Reid. The angular head and large size (the bird behind it is a Caspian Gull) would indicate "Big Pale Heuglini", but the mantle shade looks rather dark: | |
