Best viewed wth monitor set to 1024 pixels width.

This gull was photographed at Corpus Christi Landfill on March 04, 2004 by Martin Reid; my brief looks at it standing prior to it flying away showed that the bill/head were typical for HERG-types (dark bill tip "bled" into dull fleshy base,) and did not suggest any GLGU genes (as in Nelson's Gull); the underparts were heavily-marked with diffuse brown blurry streaking - as on many vegae and unlike the more clear-cut streaks of argentatus/argenteus:
