This 2nd-cycle gull was at Daytona Beach Shores, FL on January 28, 2010; note the pale tone of the upperparts with extensive broad whitish markings, extent of pale marks in the upperwing coverts, the broad and rather rounded wings, and the prominent pale spots on the tips of the inner webs of P2 -P4:
