This first-cycle gull was photographed on January 31, 2007 near Corpus Christi, Texas;
Note the following points:
- the bill shape.

the rather short (for LBBG-type) wings.
- upper and under tail coverts strongly marked for an LBBG-type.

narrow dark tailband.
Also note that this was clearly the largest of the eight LBBG-types present - the size of a smallish American Herring Gull, and quite aggressive:
