This presumed third-cycle gull was photographed in Galveston County, Texas on March 31, 2006:
It caught my eye because the upperparts were a shade darker than HERG/RBGU:
- and the extent of subterminal pale/white in the primary pattern would be extreme for an adult Am. HERG, let alone such an immature:
