early March 1999. Note the much more rounded, demure (almost Iceland
Gull-like) head of this female. The underside of P10 reveals the
classic pattern for ponticus:
On this last image note that the raised wing-tip of the hidden
preening bird on the left (behind a barabensis) looks to be a
nominate cachinnans or an extreme barabensis:
