A second-basic/alternate Steppe Gull (Larus
(c.?) barabensis) from Bahrain in early March. Note
the all-dark secondaries that I feel confirm this as 2nd-basic
plumage, yet there is a small P10 mirror and no apparent winter
nape-streaking, plus many of the greater secondary coverts are
adult-type:
