Adult Steppe Gull (Larus (c.?) barabensis). This bird has a rather short bill, with a black subterminal band that is thin and irregular on maxilla and mandible. A significant minority of birds had this sloping forehead and rounded rearcrown (the majority had a slightly more rounded forehead):
