This definitive-basic "Atlantic"
Yellow-legged Gull (Larus michahellis atlantis) was
photographed by Bernie Zonfrillo on Madeira in late October 1993.
Note the fresh plumage, including some light head-streaking, and
the incomplete primary molt (old P10 retained on far wing, and
probably just dropped on near wing):
