I visited southern Florida on a primarily birding trip, May 09 - 13, 2006. In between searching for birds I looked for the specialty butterflies of the Keys and adjacent mainland, but found the numbers and diversity rather low (perhaps linked to the drought). Here are the four FL specialties that I managed to photograph:
