Suriname November 2011

One mid-morning a large group of Chaetura swifts fed over the main clearing close to the restaurant. I studied them as best I could and took lots of photos; I believe most of them were Chapman's Swifts Chaetura chapmani. As this is a little-known taxon I have placed here all the useable images from this encounter. Using the camera data, I've grouped the images into individual shooting encounters - but it's possible that some individual birds were photographed more than once during the 5 - 6 minute period.
