COLOMBIA December 2009

Three of the 8+ Noble Snipe Gallinago nobilis (plus 3 Wilson's Snipe G. delicata) seen in the gravel pits near Guasca, northeast of Bogota:



NOTE in the image below that the uppertail coverts are somewhat rusty - closer to the color of the tail; this is not the case on Wilson's Snipe:
