BRAZIL November 2008

These Sick's [Ashy-tailed] Swifts Chaetura [andrei] meridionalis were feeding and drinking over a roadside marsh near Biritiba-Mirim, east of Sao Paulo; While the photos are rather poor quality, they do impart some of this form's distinctive "jizz":- the short tail, completely pale rear half of the upper body, and contrasting very pale throat: Compare it to this Chaetura photographed in Texas.
