These Vaux's swifts were feeding around the water tower at Semiahmoo Spit, Whatcom county, Washington on September 15, 2017. There were up to six individuals, but I do not know how many of the following sets are of the same individual.

NOTE the apparent change in wing length and structure on the same individual, depending on the posture/angle of the bird.

THE PHOTOS HAVE NOT BEEN ADJUSTED IN ANY WAY (OTHER THAN CROPPING) - THIS IS HOW THEY LOOK STRAIGHT OUT OF THE CAMERA.
