This second Texas record Northern Wheatear Oenanthe oenanthe waas found by John Borntrager on his farm on December 30, 2009 in southwest Bee County, Texas; photos here taken by me January 02, 2010:












We then drove 50 minutes to the Calliham Unit of Choke Canyon State Park (McMullen County) and watched the long-staying Northern Jacana Jacana spinosa:





- and when I got home to San Antonio I photographed this Carolina Chickadee Poecile carolinensis to create a trio of birds photographed in the same day that normally do not occur anywhere near each other!:
