These images are of a juvenile presumed Least Sandpiper are from the beach on Mustang island, Corpus Christi, Nueces county, Texas on September 13, 2014. It is a striking bird, with the overall apperance of a juvenile Long-toed Stint - but a few critical features are wrong for that ID (white almost meets over bill base; strong dark auricular patch; all-dark bill):
