These Collared Plovers (Charadrius collaris) were at Lago Penuelas, central Chile in February 1990. The images are poor but I have added them to my site because they show a plumage that is poorly represented in online images and reference books, namely that they can have a large gap in the black forecollar, and the black side-collar marks can be decidedly broad:
