This adult Collared Plover (Charadrius collaris) was found by Dan Jones on a playa in Hargill, Hidalgo county, Texas on August 02, 2014; these are my photos of it from later than evening. At the bottom is one of my pics of the first U.S. record from 1992:





Here it is with a Wilson's Plover; it is about to chase the Wilson's away...:
