This Ashy Cattle Egret has been present from early April until at least early June 2007, among a large flock of Cattle Egrets in northeast Houston, Texas; at first I thought it might have been caused by staining, but the distribution and pattern of the pale gray seems unlikely (to me) to have been caused this way, so I presume it to be a pigmentation mutation - ?:
