This definitive-basic Thayer's Gull (Larus
thayeri) was photographed by Martin Reid in Fort
Worth, Texas on December 15, 2000; it had an unusually bright
bill for a December bird - it appeared to have retained much of
its breeding-condition pigmentation; it was still completing its
primary molt, with P10 not quite fully-grown:
