This juvenile nominate Yellow-legged Gull (Larus michahellis michahellis) was photographed by Ronald Klein in Baltic Germany in August 1995. Ronald comments: "Michahellis juvenile (right). Compare it with the juvenile argentatus to the left. A very small individual, probably female. My experience is that when I show this slide, this bird is identified as a Lesser Black-backed Gull - but the bird is banded and was hatched in Italy.":
