This presumed definitive-basic Herring Gull
Larus a. smithsonianus was photographed at Corpus
Christi Landfill, Texas on March 06, 2000. It was a rather small
individual, and had a striking pattern on P10; sadly I did not
see its open wing (I was distracted by finding a Vega Gull moments
after taking these pictures):
