This (sub?)adult Gull was photographed in East Houston, Harris County, Texas on March 29, 2006. I guess the default ID is a pale LBBG, but it looked very different to the other LBBGs seen at the same site (10+ adults and 5+ subadults):
The tertial and scapular crescents were huge, and the bird was the size of a medium-small HERG
The tone of the upperparts was very similar to Laughing Gull - maybe a tiny bit paler:
On the bill note the steep angle to the culmen and the hooked tip; the eye was very pale, and the orbital ring reddish:
