This first-basic Glaucous Gull Larus hyperboreus was photographed by Michael Donahue at Tacoma, Washington in early January 1999. Presumably this is of the form barrovianus?; the head and bill shape are reminiscent of nominate Iceland Gull (L. g. glaucoides):
