These hairstreaks were part of a six-hairstreak trip to West Texas April 27 - 30 2005:

1) A Poling's Hairstreak Satyrium polingi in upper Green Gulch, Chisos Mtns:


2) one of at least six Mountain Orange-crescent Groundstreaks Ziegleri guzanta seen in Green Gulch, Chisos Mtns


3) Both gryneus-type and siva-type Juniper Hairstreaks Callophrys gryneus flying together near Lawrence E. Wood Picnic Area, Davis Mtns:


4) a worn Hairstreak - probably Gray Hairstreak Strymon melinus from Lawrence E. Wood Picnic Area, Davis Mtns; note the small size and "inwards extent" of the HW orange spots:
